Urdu: اور وہ کہتے ہیں: “اے ہمارے رب! ہمیں اپنی بیویوں اور اولاد سے آنکھوں کی ٹھنڈک عطا فرما۔”
English: “And those who say, ‘Our Lord, grant us from among our wives and offspring comfort to our eyes.'”
25. Arabic: خَيْرُكُمْ خَيْرُكُمْ لِأَهْلِهِ
Urdu: تم میں سے بہترین وہ ہے جو اپنے گھر والوں کے لیے بہترین ہے۔
English: “The best of you are those who are best to their families.”
26. Arabic: اللَّهُمَّ بَارِكْ لَهُمَا وَبَارِكْ عَلَيْهِمَا
Urdu: اے اللہ! ان دونوں کے لیے برکت نازل فرما اور ان پر برکت نازل فرما۔
English: “O Allah, bless for them and bless upon them.”
27. Arabic: وَقُل رَّبِّ ارْحَمْهُمَا كَمَا رَبَّيَانِي صَغِيرًا
Urdu: اور کہو: “اے میرے رب! ان دونوں پر رحم فرما جیسا کہ انہوں نے بچپن میں مجھے پالا۔”
English: “And say, ‘My Lord, have mercy upon them as they brought me up [when I was] small.'”
28. Arabic: إِنَّ اللَّهَ مَعَ الصَّابِرِينَ
Urdu: بے شک اللہ صبر کرنے والوں کے ساتھ ہے۔
English: “Indeed, Allah is with the patient.”
29. Arabic: وَاللَّيْلِ إِذَا يَغْشَىٰ
Urdu: اور رات کی قسم جب وہ ڈھانپ لے۔
English: “By the night when it covers.”
30. Arabic: قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ
Urdu: کہو: وہ اللہ ایک ہے۔
English: “Say, ‘He is Allah, [who is] One.'”
31. Arabic: اللَّهُ نُورُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ
Urdu: اللہ آسمانوں اور زمین کا نور ہے۔
English: “Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth.”
32. Arabic: وَمَا خَلَقْتُ الْجِنَّ وَالْإِنسَ إِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُونِ
Urdu: اور میں نے جنوں اور انسانوں کو صرف اس لیے پیدا کیا ہے کہ وہ میری عبادت کریں۔
English: “And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me.”
33. Arabic: وَأَنكِحُوا الْأَيَامَىٰ مِنكُمْ وَالصَّالِحِينَ مِنْ عِبَادِكُمْ
Urdu: اور تم میں سے جو لوگ کنوارے ہیں ان کی شادی کر دو اور اپنے غلاموں اور لونڈیوں میں سے نیک لوگوں کی بھی۔
English: “And marry the unmarried among you and the righteous among your male slaves and female slaves.”
34. Arabic: وَالْمُؤْمِنُونَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتُ بَعْضُهُمْ أَوْلِيَاءُ بَعْضٍ
Urdu: اور مومن مرد اور مومن عاتین ایک دوسرے کے رفیق ہیں۔
English: “The believing men and believing women are allies of one another.”
35. Arabic: وَالْعَصْرِ
Urdu: زمانے کی قسم!
English: “By time,”
36. Arabic: إِنَّ الْإِنسَانَ لَفِي خُسْرٍ
Urdu: بے شک انسان خسارے میں ہے۔
English: “Indeed, mankind is in loss,”
37. Arabic: إِلَّا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ
Urdu: سوائے ان لوگوں کے جو ایمان لائے اور نیک اعمال کرتے رہے۔
English: “Except for those who have believed and done righteous deeds”
38. Arabic: وَتَوَاصَوْا بِالْحَقِّ
Urdu: اور ایک دوسرے کو حق کی وصیت کرتے رہے۔
English: “And advised each other to truth”
39. Arabic: وَتَوَاصَوْا بِالصَّبْرِ
Urdu: اور صبر کی وصیت کرتے رہے۔
English: “And advised each other to patience.”
40. Arabic: فَإِذَا فَرَغْتَ فَانصَبْ
Urdu: پھر جب تو فارغ ہو تو محنت کر۔
English: “So when you have finished [your duties], then stand up [for worship].”
41. Arabic: وَإِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ فَارْغَبْ
Urdu: اور اپنے رب کی طرف رغبت رکھ۔
English: “And to your Lord direct [your] longing.”
42. Arabic: قَدْ أَفْلَحَ مَنْ تَزَكَّىٰ
Urdu: بے شک وہ شخص فلاح پا گیا جس نے پاکی حاصل کی۔
English: “He has certainly succeeded who purifies himself”
43. Arabic: وَذَكَرَ اسْمَ رَبِّهِ فَصَلَّىٰ
Urdu: اور اپنے رب کے نام کا ذکر کیا پھر نماز پڑھی۔
English: “And mentions the name of his Lord and prays.”
44. Arabic: بَلْ تُؤْثِرُونَ الْحَيَاةَ الدُّنْيَا
Urdu: بلکہ تم دنیوی زندگی کو ترجیح دیتے ہو۔
English: “But you prefer the worldly life”
45. Arabic: وَالْآخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ وَأَبْقَىٰ
Urdu: حالانکہ آخرت بہتر اور باقی رہنے والی ہے۔
English: “While the Hereafter is better and more enduring.”
46. Arabic: إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَفِي الصُّحُفِ الْأُولَىٰ
Urdu: بے شک یہ (بات) پہلے صحیفوں میں بھی ہے۔
English: “Indeed, this is in the former scriptures,”
47. Arabic: صُحُفِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَمُوسَىٰ
Urdu: ابراہیم اور موسیٰ کے صحیفوں میں۔
English: “The scriptures of Abraham and Moses.”
48. Arabic: كُلُّ نَفْسٍ ذَائِقَةُ الْمَوْتِ
Urdu: ہر جان کو موت کا ذائقہ چکھنا ہے۔
English: “Every soul will taste death,”
49. Arabic: وَإِنَّمَا تُوَفَّوْنَ أُجُورَكُمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ
